Sustainable growth

Posted by Kelly Lewis 1 Comments

Ran across a quote this morning: "The only kind of true growth is sustainable growth, and ... everything else is essentially a Ponzi scheme." --Bryan Walsh, writing in TIME...and it reminded me why development as a leader, teacher, parent, student, human being is so rewarding and so challenging.

Sustainable growth takes time and a willingness to see the world from a different perspective. So it means I have to have patience and an understanding as well as an ability to let go of your current perspective.

I am wondering what possibilities my current perspective opens for me? What does it limit? What are you wondering about today?

Ahh, sister. I am wondering how to unite my head and my heart-- to make the path between the two clear and and well traveled... to love my head as much as my heart--to embrace my intelligence as much as my compassion. Patience. Yet another word we are both aspiring toward on our parallel journeys.
