Moving Mindfulness into the Mainstream

Thanks to Ohio Represenative Tim Ryan,  a spotlight has been shown on mindfulness and the benefits it promotes across all human systems.

Ryan’s life was transformed after a 5 day retreat into mindfulness with Jon Kabat-Zinn.  As a result, Ryan took a journey across the nation, visiting schools, companies, and research facilities to discover how mindfulness is impacting our society.

In his recently released book, A Mindful Nation, Ryan asserts that by practicing mindfulness, we as individual citizens can improve our mental and physical health, reduce our dependence on foreign oil, reduce crime, improve our educational systems, and help our military enhance their performance.

Could this simple (not easy) practice be a prescription for our country's greatest challenges? It starts with you.  Are you willing to give it a try?
